I was tagged by the lovely Jordan at I will never own enough books for this Emoji Tag. She tagged me earlier this month but due to my hectic school schedule, I am only getting round to it now. Thank you so much Jordan, this seems like such a cool and fun tag.
In this tag, you pair your five most used or recently used emojis to books. This may be a bit weird at times considering me and friends sometimes use the randomest emojis on our group chat, but hopefully I can apply it to books ahahaha.
For me when I use the kissing emoji, it is usually to express a sense of gratitude or love to one of my friends. So, when deciding how to apply it to this tag, I decided to use it for the book that I am most grateful for… This may be cheating but there are two books I am most grateful for, so I just have to include them both.
City of Bones is the first book in the Mortal Instruments series… a series that changed my life for the better in so many ways. I would highly recommend this series as it is just amazing. Credit to my all time favourite author Cassandra Clare for blessing me with such fantastic books.
We were liars is a very special book. This book is indescribably one of the best books I have ever read. The poetic flow of writing, the twists and turns all make for an amazing book that sometimes leaves me in puddles of tears.
For me the symbolisation of this emoji is pretty simple, I associate it with all things sad. Furthermore, when I see this emoji it reminds me of a book that to this day still has me blubbering in a puddle whenever I read it.
Best Of Me is a book by Nicholas Sparks and is one of the most heartbreaking books I have ever read. It is still one of my all time favourites though haha, I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
THERE REALLY IS ONLY ONE BOOK THAT GETS ME SO ANGRY AND ANNOYED TO THE POINT THAT I CAN NO LONGER FUNCTION OR EVEN CONSIDER BREATHING… THAT BOOK IS TWILIGHT!!!!!!! HONESTLY, I HATE EVERYTHING ABOUT THE WHOLE SERIES AND REALLY JUST DON’T GET THE HYPE.
Love Heart Emoji
The love heart emoji refers to the book I am currently reading and loving so far… that book is The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare. It’s a book about one of my favourite characters, from my favourite series by my favourite author… What’s not to love.
AWWW, this emoji is so cute haha ❤ Okay so this emoji goes to the book that I love but it honestly makes me cringe every-time I read it. I love Lolita but it really makes me almost gag at certain points because it is just sooooo wrong, however Nabokov is a literary genius and I do find myself falling in love with this book more and more.
